Welcome to What's On in Taranaki

I have started this page with the intention of keeping it up
to date with the major events in the New Plymouth area and
the whole of Taranaki District if I can keep on top of
it.   If you take a look in the "Links" section of
the site you'll find links to a few of the good websites
pertaining to local events in New Plymouth and Taranaki,
hopefully they will be perfectly up to date because there is
a good chance that my page isn't...Festivals and Events

New Plymouth District has a deserved reputation as an events
center, with a comprehensive event calender to delight all
ages.  Major festivals regularly feature on the holiday
calendar.  The biennial Taranaki Festival of the Arts
attracts local and International artists and performers to
provide diverse high quality entertainment. The Taranaki Rhododendron and Garden Festival showcases private and public gardens during late October/ early November. From mid-December to early February, the Festival of Lights transforms Pukekura Park into a night time wonderland.
Summer Vineyard Tour 2012

This year's tour will see legendary Australian roots act and NZ favourites John Butler Trio co-headline the show alongside so-hot-right-now funky American soul singer Aloe Blacc & The Grand Scheme, following Aloe's sell-out NZ shows earlier this year and NZ top 40 chart success. Kiwi pop-sweetheart Annabel Fay also joins the line-up off the back of a stint in the US.
